JERSEY: JFSC clarifies that family offices are not Jersey private funds
The Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) has amended its guidance for Jersey private fund promoters to make clear that certain family arrangements, including family offices, are not to be treated as such funds. The definitions of employees and family connections, including the term 'relative', have also been widened and now include trusts established for a person satisfying the wider definition of 'family connection', not just for a specific person or their dependants.
