CAYMAN ISLANDS: Court grants settlor's request to set aside trustee mistake

The Grand Court of the Cayman Islands has agreed to unwind a Cayman Islands law trust at the settlor's request, pursuant to s.64A of the Trusts Act concerning fiduciary mistake. The decision in Re S Trust confirms the court's wide jurisdiction under s.64A, based on the Hastings-Bass precedent, says law firm Mourant.
