CAYMAN ISLANDS: Proposed rules of conduct for VASPs

The Cayman Islands financial regulator has issued a draft rule and statement of guidance on market conduct for virtual asset service providers (VASPs). The draft is based partly on a review of recently published regulatory frameworks in Dubai, Malaysia, the Bahamas, Malta, and Abu Dhabi. However, unlike them, the guidance is not directly enforceable and does not set specific reporting requirements.
